Our finance and accounting teams play a critical role in ensuring regulatory adherence, operational efficiency, and strategic financial insight across global markets.Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to support U.S. tax compliance and reporting activities from our Chennai, India location. This role is responsible for managing U.S. Sales and Use Tax, State and Local Tax (SALT) compliance, and related reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax knowledge, advanced Excel expertise, and a CA or CPA designation in good standing. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across global finance teams.Job DescriptionPrepare and review U.S. federal, state, and local tax filings with a strong emphasis on Sales and Use Tax compliance.Manage end-to-end U.S. Sales and Use Tax calculations, reconciliations, and reporting processes.Ensure accurate and timely filing of State and Local Tax (SALT) returns in compliance with applicable regulations.Conduct in-depth tax research and monitor changes in U.S. tax legislation, assessing impact to the organization.Analyze large data sets using advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and data modeling techniques.Support tax audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and reconciling tax positions.Collaborate with finance, accounting, and operations teams to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions.Develop and maintain detailed tax schedules, reconciliations, and compliance trackers.Assist in process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance tax reporting accuracy and efficiency.RequirementsChartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.Strong experience in U.S. Sales and Use Tax compliance and State and Local Tax (SALT).Demonstrated expertise in U.S. tax audits and compliance documentation.Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, lookup functions, complex formulas, and data modeling.Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams.Why Join Pinnacle Group?
