This is a hands-on, cross-functional role at the intersection of materials science, chemical engineering, and process innovation.You will work closely with R&D, engineering consultants, equipment vendors, and operations teams to develop robust, efficient, and safe processes. From setting up pilot lines to supporting full-scale production, you’ll be an integral part of our journey from concept to commercialization.What You’ll DoPhase 1: Lab & Pilot SetupAssist in setting up lab-scale processes, including workflows, safety protocols, and vendor coordinationSupport design and commissioning of pilot-scale systems (equipment selection, plant layout, installation)Coordinate and execute experiments for materials synthesis, testing, and characterizationEnsure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory normsMaintain detailed technical documentation and contribute to IP generationPhase 2: Process Scale-Up & OptimizationDesign, conduct, and analyze experiments to scale up processes from lab to pilot plantOptimize process parameters for quality, consistency, and throughputIdentify and resolve issues related to yield, process stability, and energy efficiencyDocument SOPs and ensure knowledge transfer to operations teamsContribute to cross-functional problem-solving and quality benchmarkingPhase 3: Production ReadinessCollaborate with the Plant Operations team to transfer processes to the commercial lineTrain production and quality personnel on process operationsProvide technical inputs for equipment design improvements and vendor selectionSupport continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and cost optimizationWho You AreMinimum Qualifications:M.Tech/M.E. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Ceramics, Polymers, Nanotech, or related fieldsM.Sc. in related disciplines with strong lab or industrial research experience may also apply2–5 years of hands-on experience in chemical/process development, pilot plants, or materials manufacturingPhD holders in relevant fields will be considered with adjusted experiencePreferred Skills & Experience:Prior experience with pilot plant setup, lab-to-plant scale-up, or process designHands-on with solvent handling, high-pressure systems, thermal utilities, or chemical reactorsFamiliarity with CAD tools, process modelling, or prototyping is a strong plusStrong grasp of safety protocols and environmental compliance in industrial setupsExcellent documentation, data management, and analytical skillsProven ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environmentsWhy Join us?You won’t just optimize a process — you’ll help build an entirely new materials category from the ground up.If you’re excited about:Deep-tech scale-upBuilding from scratchIndustrializing breakthrough scienceCreating global impact from IndiaWe’d love to talk.
