This role is focused on monitoring, incident resolution, configuration changes, security enforcement, backups, and DR support rather than solution design. You will work closely with senior architects, application teams, and security teams to keep Azure services stable, secure, compliant, and cost-efficient. Key Responsibilities Azure Operations & Support Monitor Azure infrastructure health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel. Handle daily incidents, alerts, and service requests related to Azure resources. Perform routine configuration changes, scaling, patching, and upgrades. Troubleshoot issues related to networking, compute, storage, and identity. Azure Services You Will Support Hands-on operational support for: Azure Virtual Machines & VM Scale Sets Azure App Services Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) – basic to intermediate support Azure Blob Storage Azure Cosmos DB Azure Event Hubs Azure Functions & Logic Apps Azure API Management Azure Redis Cache Azure Front Door & Traffic Manager Security & Identity Support Manage Entra ID (Azure AD) users, groups, roles, and RBAC. Maintain Azure Key Vault (secrets, certificates, access policies). Assist with firewall rules, NSGs, and Azure DDoS Protection configurations. Backup & Disaster Recovery Monitor and manage Azure Backup jobs and resolve failures. Support Azure Site Recovery including failover testing and recovery validation. Ensure backup and DR SLAs are met and documented. Networking & Connectivity Support Azure networking components: VNets, subnets, NSGs Azure Firewall Azure ExpressRoute (support and coordination, not design) Assist in resolving latency, routing, and connectivity issues. Monitoring, Reporting & Optimization Review alerts, logs, and dashboards to proactively identify issues. Assist in cost monitoring and optimization (unused resources, right-sizing). Provide operational metrics and reports as required. Documentation & Process Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation. Follow defined change management and incident management processes. Participate in on-call or after-hours support rotations if required. Skill Requirements ( Must-Have Skills (L2) Strong hands-on experience with Azure portal operations. Experience supporting: VMs, Storage Accounts, App Services Azure Monitor, Log Analytics Azure Backup Working knowledge of Entra ID, RBAC, and Key Vault. Basic understanding of Azure networking (VNets, NSGs). Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Must-Have Skills (L3 – In Addition to L2) Hands-on support experience with: AKS (pods, services, scaling, basic troubleshooting) API Management Azure Firewall and security tooling Azure Site Recovery Experience handling major incidents and root cause analysis. Ability to guide L1/L2 engineers and review their work. Strong understanding of security and compliance controls. Nice-to-Have Skills Exposure to Azure Health Data Services (FHIR) or healthcare platforms. Experience supporting Power BI infrastructure or datasets. Basic scripting using PowerShell or Azure CLI. Experience in MSP or 24×7 support environments. Certifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory) AZ-104 – Azure Administrator Associate (Highly Preferred) AZ-305 (good to have for L3)
