President Reshef’s TED Talk and Nas Daily interview about the University have 30 million views combinedGENERAL PURPOSE: We are looking for a detail-oriented Global Payroll & Finance Operations Specialist to take full ownership of payroll operations through Deel, UoPeoples EOR partner and Payroll provider. This role will manage payroll processes across India, the United States, and additional EOR countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution while providing support to employees and managers. The role reports to the Finance team and collaborates closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to maintain payroll integrity and alignment with organizational policies.Key Responsibilities Global Payroll Management Own and manage monthly payroll cycles across India, the U.S., and other EOR countries through Deel. Prepare, review, and validate payroll data prior to submission deadlines. Ensure payroll inputs are accurate, complete, and compliant with local regulations. Coordinate with Deel payroll teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments. Support payroll audits and maintain accurate payroll records. Payroll Data Management Update and maintain employee payroll data in Deel and Finance systems. Manage payroll changes including: Salary updates Bonuses and variable pay Leave and attendance adjustments Offboarding payments (final settlements, gratuity where applicable) Validate employee start dates, employment status changes, and compensation updates. Employee & Manager Support Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions from India employees and managers. Support onboarding and offboarding payroll processes. Provide guidance on payroll timelines, payslips, deductions, and payroll policies. Process Improvement & Compliance Monitor payroll processes to identify inefficiencies or system issues. Partner with Finance and HR to improve payroll workflows and reporting. Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and EOR requirements. Support implementation and optimization of Deel payroll features and integrations.Required Qualifications 3+ years of payroll or Finance operations experience, preferably in a global environment. Experience with payroll platforms or HRIS systems (Deel experience is a strong advantage). Strong understanding of payroll processes and employee lifecycle operations. High attention to detail and strong data validation skills. Ability to manage multiple payroll cycles and deadlines simultaneously. Strong communication skills and experience supporting global teams.
