As a FMS GIS Engineer, your scope of work is generally as under; a)Work in general shift on all working days at Client office for providing services for day to day normal operation of the system, b)Maintain the system for required system availability and other services for normal operation of system. c)Update & integrate geographic information systems (GIS) databases, data entry, maintenance, and other GIS capabilities, while also generating custom and standard maps, spatial analyses, and other GIS products/ applications. d)Extract and organize data and perform quality control operations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all data. e)Analyse source documents and/or coordinates with pipeline networks to resolve missing or conflicting data and other anomalies. f)Regular integration of Geo-database in the ArcGlS server database for newly commissioned pipeline sections based on data provided by the GIS survey agencies for their Pipeline Alignment, Station Boundary, Crossings, Cadastral, Base Map, Route Map etc. g)Support in upkeep & upgradation/migration of ArcGIS server & operating system on PGIS server. h)Taking the server backup of PGIS & restoration activities on regular basis. i)Supporting & coordinating in development of new features in PGIS through software department at Bengaluru. j)Updating the associated assets of pipelines such as Test stations, terminals, warning markers, cased crossings and re-routing, pipeline repairs etc. based on data received from sites. k)Troubleshooting of the PGIS web application. Interface with other departments and sites for integrating the upcoming pipeline alignment in PGIS data base of Pipeline networks for updating the geo database. m)GIS data extraction & map preparation activities as per requirements. n)Support in functional upgrades of PGIS during its customization & development. o)Visiting other site locations of Client if required. p)While deployed, observe/abide by working conditions, safety code Indian Laws and Local Laws. q)Assist in GIS application and Data Base Operation and Maintenance. r)Any other job as assigned by SECON and Client related to the line of duty and scope of work.Yours is a very responsible position.
