The organization works in low-income schools of the city to promote excellent education, exposure and inclusivity for students on the autism spectrum and other high learning needs; builds inclusion at the school-level; grows awareness and advocacy for the cause and also runs workshops and awareness to spread the reach of our work.Role DescriptionThis is a 1 year, 4-5 hour/day, on-site Fieldwork for a Social Worker at Brain Bristle in Mumbai.The Social Worker in the duration of his/ her fieldwork will be responsible for teaching, writing, guiding, planning for and facilitating Individualized Educational Plans for students on the autism spectrum and other high learning needs across our low income city schools; building inclusion in the classrooms and schools they work at; collaborating with school staff to implement inclusion strategies; conducting assessments, and developing holistic, future-facing plans for their students.MinimumQualifications: Good with children Strong communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills Open to learning and implementing a variety of teaching strategies. Passionate about school systems, education systems, communities, and circles of care. Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in social Work, psychology, counselling, arts, education, teaching or a related field Experience with teaching or social work/ mental health work including work with students with special needs is a plus.Remuneration : This is a one academic year social work commitment to our city’s low income schools. You will be provided excellent global professional development and training & a stipend of Rs.12,000 for the duration of the Social Work Field-Work.
