Marketing & Community Growth Manager — Locus (India)Location:Pune / Mumbai / Bangalore Type:Full-time (Remote + Field Work)About Locus Most dating apps optimise for swiping. Locus is designed for actual connection. Instead of juggling endless matches, users speak to one person at a time — creating calmer, more intentional relationships and better outcomes. We are live and growing. Now we are building city-by-city adoption by creating real local communities — not just running ads. This role is not traditional social media marketing. You will be responsible for launching and growing Locus inside real neighbourhoods and making it feel alive.The Role We are looking for a hands-on growth operator who can build a local user base from zero to critical mass. Your job is to make people in a specific area feel: “People around me are using this app right now.” You will combine: local events influencer seeding community building targeted paid acquisition content creation This is closer to launching a city than managing a page.What You’ll Be Responsible ForLocal Market CreationLaunch Locus in specific neighbourhoods Build a dense user base within 3–5 km areas Ensure balanced male:female ratios Create consistent daily activity Content & Social GrowthCreate high-quality Instagram content (Reels + posts) Grow the page to 10K+ local followers Turn social engagement into downloads Influencer MarketingIdentify and partner with local micro-creators Run creator campaigns that drive installs (not just views) Build ongoing creator relationships Offline ActivationOrganise small social events and meetups Partner with cafes, gyms, universities & coworking spaces Convert attendees into active users Paid AcquisitionRun targeted Meta campaigns within small radiuses Optimise cost per install and gender balance Scale only where activity already exists Analytics & Reporting You will report weekly on: New users (male vs female) Conversations started Match within 48 hours Cost per install Event & influencer conversions What Success Looks Like10,000+ Instagram followers (local) Active neighbourhood communities 50%+ users match within 48 hours Strong gender balance 20,000 users by end of year Requirements You may be a great fit if you have: Experience growing a community, product, or local audience Run influencer campaigns that drove measurable actions Created social content yourself (Canva / CapCut etc.) Organised events or campus/community initiatives Strong understanding of youth culture & social behaviour Bonus (not required): Worked on a social app, marketplace, or community product Experience with dating, events, nightlife, or campus marketingImportant This isnot a posting job .
