Background: Oroprise Solutions, a 10-year-old IT company () is in the process of adding resource capacity to support its long-term client in Europe. Position: Senior Cloud and Infrastructure EngineerLocation: NoidaJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer with 8-10 years of expertise in Windows, VMware, Veeam Backup, and Citrix. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing and supporting clients’ infrastructure as well as providing expert guidance and support to other team members. This role requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional service and support to our long-term client and ensuring the smooth operation of the IT systems.Key Responsibilities/Skillset: • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: o Provide expert-level support for Windows operating systems, VMware environments, Veeam Backup solutions, and Citrix infrastructure. o Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users. o Serve as an escalation point for junior engineers and assist in resolving advanced technical problems. • Infrastructure Management: o Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers, VMware clusters, and Citrix environments. o Manage and optimize Veeam Backup and replication processes to ensure data integrity and availability. o Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency. Project Management: o Lead in IT projects of various types including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery within scope, time o Document project plans, technical procedures, and change management processes. • Security and Compliance: o Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. o Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT infrastructure and sensitive data. o Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and apply necessary updates and patches. • Training and Mentorship: o Provide training and mentorship to junior service desk engineers, fostering their professional growth. o Develop and deliver training sessions on new technologies and best practices. o Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for technical procedures and troubleshooting guides. • Customer Service: o Deliver exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with clients and stakeholders. o Ensure timely resolution of support requests and maintain a high level of user satisfaction. o Gather feedback from users to continuously improve service desk operations and processes. • Expertise: The candidate is expected to have advanced knowledge in the following areas: o HPE servers and storage solutions o VMWare/Hyper-V virtualization o Veeam backup solution o Firewall (Fortinet) o HPE/Aruba networking (switches, access points,…) o Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, AVD) o Microsoft Windows Server (incl. AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS,…) o Microsoft 365 – Defender - Intune o Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop/PVS Qualifications: • Education: o Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. o Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Citrix Certified Professional (CCP), and Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) are highly desirable. • Experience: o Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in IT service desk or technical support roles. o Extensive experience with Windows Server and Desktop operating systems. o Proven expertise in managing and troubleshooting VMware environments. o In-depth knowledge of Veeam Backup and replication solutions. o Strong experience with Citrix virtualization technologies. • Soft Skills: o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. o Strong communication and interpersonal skills. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. o Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. o Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a time-bound manner. Work Environment: • This role typically requires working in an office environment with occasional on-call responsibilities.
