As we expand our design-led product development in the home furniture segment, we are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented designer to join our growing team.Role Overview We are seeking aJunior Furniture Designerwith 4–5 years of experience in designing furniture acrossmetal, plastic, and fabric categories . The ideal candidate should balanceaesthetic sensibility with functional design thinking , while understanding manufacturability in a factory environment. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, production, and sourcing teams to develop products that are commercially viable, trend-relevant, and production-ready.Key Responsibilities Design innovative and functional furniture products in metal, plastic, and fabric. Develop concepts from ideation to production-ready drawings. Create 3D models, renders, technical drawings, and BOMs. Ensure designs are aligned with global home furniture trends. Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and cost optimization. Conduct material research and trend analysis in the home & lifestyle segment. Support prototyping, sampling, and product testing processes. Incorporate ergonomics, durability, and user experience principles. Contribute to the development of Savera’s in-house product portfolio.Required Skills & Qualifications 4- 5 years of experience in furniture or product design. Degree in Product Design / Furniture Design from reputed institutes such as: NID (National Institute of Design) NIFT IIT (Design Programs) MIT Institute of Design CEPT University (or other leading design institutes in India) Strong proficiency in design software (SolidWorks / Rhino / Fusion 360 / AutoCAD / KeyShot / Adobe Suite). Strong understanding of materials: metal fabrication, plastic molding, and fabric/stitching. Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles. Strong visual presentation and rendering skills. Ability to translate global trends into commercially viable products.
