Live commerce exceeded $800 billion GMV in China in 2025; India’s version needs to work for diverse languages, patchy 4G networks, and millions of small businesses who have never sold online before and Zoop is building the robust platform on which all this works.About the role You will own and manage Zoop’s books end-to-end - from daily transaction recording and bank reconciliations to GST compliance, TDS filings, and financial reporting that founders and investors actually use to make decisions. This isn’t a back-office role where you process invoices and disappear. You’ll sit at the intersection of finance, operations, and product - understanding unit economics, tracking burn, and helping the founders navigate financial planning as we scale.At an early-stage startup, every rupee matters and every financial insight creates leverage. You’ll build our financial processes from scratch, bring structure, and gradually automate. If you’re the kind of person who finds satisfaction in a clean reconciliation and gets excited about building dashboards that surface real insights, this role is for you.What you’ll work on •Day-to-day book keeping- recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, managing accounts payable and receivable with zero backlogs •Compliance and filings- GST returns, TDS, advance tax, and statutory filings on time, every time •Bank and payment reconciliation- reconciling settlements, bank accounts, and internal records across multiple payment flows •Financial reporting- preparing monthly P&L statements, cash flow reports, and burn analyses for founders and investors •Payroll processing- managing salary disbursals, reimbursements, and related compliances for the team •Vendor and contractor management- processing invoices, tracking payments, and maintaining clean vendor records •Process building- creating SOPs, templates, and workflows that make financial operations repeatable and auditable •Tooling and automation- identifying repetitive tasks and using AI and tools to eliminate manual workYou may be a good fit if you •Have 1 - 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably at a startup or fast-growing company •Hold a , , or CA Inter (or equivalent) with strong fundamentals in Indian accounting and tax •Are proficient with Tally, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software •Have hands-on experience with GST filings, TDS returns, and basic statutory compliance •Are comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets at an advanced level (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data cleanup) •Are detail-oriented to the point where a one-rupee mismatch bothers you •Communicate clearly - you can explain financial data to non-finance people •Are self-driven and don’t need to be told what’s due nextStrong candidates may also have •Experience with payment gateway reconciliations (Razorpay, Cashfree, PayU etc.) •Familiarity with start-up finance - burn rate tracking, unit economics, investor reporting •Basic scripting or automation skills (Python, Google Apps Script, Zapier) •Experience preparing for or supporting financial audits •Exposure to e-commerce or marketplace accounting with high transaction volumes •Working knowledge of ROC filings and company secretarial basicsIf this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
