Job Role: Audio Validation Engineer - Python & Embedded Linux Work Experience: 6 to 15 Years Location: BangaloreWe are hiring an experiencedAudio Validation Engineerto support next-generation consumer electronics platforms for leading semiconductor customers. This role requires strong expertise in audio codec validation, embedded Linux environments, and Python-based automation.Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for audio systems and consumer electronic devices Validate lossy and lossless audio codecs across different hardware platforms Perform AV Sync and lipsync validation including presentation engine testing Analyze frame-by-frame encode/decode performance and timing metrics Design and enhance Python-based test automation (pytest) for endpoints Provide test infrastructure enabling engineering teams to own service quality Perform hardware-level debugging using JTAG, probes, and signal analyzers Work with acoustic setups including microphones, speakers, and measurement tools Execute test plans, monitor quality metrics, and ensure defect closure as per SLA Coordinate with offshore QA teams for test execution and release sign-offMust Have Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Audio Pipeline, Signal Processing, Noise Cancellation Hands-on experience with ALSA, Xtensa frameworks Experience using gst-launch, ffplay Practical exposure to minicom and adb shell Familiarity with AV Sync test cases Comfortable working in Linux environment Experience in consumer electronics device validation
