We are looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer Intern to join our team at Bharat Minds AI. This role is designed for a builder who is passionate about modern web architectures, robust data management, and the evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence. You will work closely with members to build, scale, and optimize features that deliver high impact.  Key Responsibilities Frontend & Full-Stack Development: Build and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using Next.js and React. Database Management: Design schema and optimize queries for relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) or non-relational (e.g., MongoDB/Redis) databases. AI Integration: Assist in integrating LLMs (via open-source models) into user-facing features to enhance automation and intelligence. API Design: Develop and consume RESTful APIs to ensure seamless communication between the client and server. Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in peer code reviews.  Qualifications & Skills Core Tech: Proficiency in TypeScript and the Next.js and Node.js framework (App Router, Server Components). Data Layer: Solid understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases and ORMs like Prisma or Drizzle. AI Curiosity: Familiarity with LLMs or frameworks like LangChain or Vercel AI SDK. Problem Solving: Strong foundational knowledge of algorithms and system design. Version Control: Comfortable with Git workflows and collaborative development.  Bonus Points Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar styling libraries. Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate) for AI applications. Experience working as an intern associated with other potential startups. Internship Details Duration: 6 MonthsCompensation:This is an unpaid internship for the initial 6-month period, structured as an intensive hands-on learning and development experience. During this period, interns will be evaluated based on technical performance, consistency, problem-solving ability, team collaboration, communication and coordination, and overall cultural fit within the team.Future Opportunities:Based on performance and contribution, interns may be offered a paid internship with a stipend of ₹25,000 per month or considered for a full-time role as an Associate Software Development Engineer, with a compensation range of ₹5 LPA – ₹6.4 LPA.Learning Experience:This internship is designed as a hands-on learning experience, where interns will work on real production systems and gain practical experience in modern full-stack development and AI engineering.Life at Bharat Minds AI We believe in nurturing talent and providing growth opportunities.
