Due to the growing breadth and scope of our work, we are looking to evolve our Testing Team, and are on the lookout for a talented, enthusiastic individual to join us.What you'll do As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at DCX, you will implement and promote best practice testing methods, adding automated and manual testing to a variety of projects. You will work closely with our engineering, product, and delivery teams (including colleagues in the UK, Poland and other locations) to ensure the highest level of software quality across our projects. The ideal candidate will be comfortable switching between automated and manual testing, have strong communication skills, and be able to propose innovative solutions under tight deadlines. Collaborating closely with the DCX Engineering team (Pune and Poland), Delivery Team (UK and Poland), and multidisciplinary teams, including designers, developers, you'll ensure effective collaboration and clear communication aligned with client objectives. Focusing on building up the automated testing coverage and documenting results to build confidence in each release and in the CI/CD pipeline to stakeholders. You will significantly contribute to DCX’s growth, embodying our EPIC values: Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Collaboration.Key Skills • Own the end-to-end QA process for assigned projects, including writing test strategies, test cases, and executing both manual and automated tests. • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks and scripts (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or similar). • Work collaboratively with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity of requirements, effective sprint planning, and timely delivery of defect-free releases. • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to meet quality objectives and acceptance criteria. • Communicate risks, issues, and dependencies clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Provide guidance for sprint planning and delivery timelines and proactively push back on unrealistic goals and timelines. • Suggest alternate testing approaches when appropriate to keep a project in budget or within timelines. • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, best practices, and tools used by the team. • Partner with overseas teams in an agile, remote-friendly environment, demonstrating cultural adaptability and respect for time zone constraints.Required skills and experience • Proven experience (5+ years) working in QA and writing code, including both manual and automated testing. • Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.) • Ability to write, maintain, and debug test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript. • Familiarity with Drupal-based platforms, Acquia, or similar CMS environments (bonus if you have experience in Azure DevOps). • Understanding of remote agile team collaboration, sprint cycles, and CI/CD pipelines. • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on balancing quality with business objectives. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of confidently pushing back if a release is not ready for production. • Capable of explaining complex testing scenarios to stakeholders. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent technical education. • Strong organisational and time management capabilities. • Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making abilities. • Proficiency with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Miro) and collaboration platforms (Slack, Teams). • Familiarity with technical documentation, wireframes, and Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).Desirable Experience • Experience working within a global, cross-functional team, ideally in a Western-based company/setting. • Experience working in a digital agency, consultancy, or fast-paced technical environment. • Understands digital platforms, cloud infrastructure, API integrations, and DevOps methodologies. • Exposure to performance and load testing tools (e.g., K6, JMeter, Gatling, Lighthouse, SiteSpeed) is a plus. • ISTQB or similar QA certifications.Cultural Fit and Soft Skills • Comfortable collaborating with international teams and bridging cultural expectations. • Approaches challenges with an open mind and willingness to experiment with new solutions. • Willing and able to challenge senior team members respectfully, ensuring realistic project deliverables. • Flexible and adaptable, balancing QA methodologies with real-world project constraints.Career Development Opportunities • Structured career progression path within DCX. • Access to professional training and certifications. • Mentoring and leadership development programs. • Opportunity to shape agency testing best practices.Cultural competencies (In line with DCX’s EPIC Values) •Excellence : Ensures high-quality testing practices, actively pursues continuous improvement, and maintains standards exceeding stakeholder expectations. •Passion : Shows enthusiasm for testing methodologies, continuously expands test automation knowledge, and promotes innovation in testing practices. •Integrity : Upholds ethical standards, ensures transparency, provides honest feedback, and takes accountability for testing delivery. •Collaboration:Effectively coordinates with teams, builds strong stakeholder relationships, and shares testing expertise to support a collaborative work environment.
