Zepto Café extends our commitment to convenience, featuring a curated menu of over 200 fresh items.ROLE OVERVIEW The Manager – Procurement will handle the strategic sourcing and lifecycle management of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and essential warehouse assets. This role is responsible for driving cost efficiencies, ensuring equipment reliability, and managing a robust vendor ecosystem to support large-scale logistics operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Sourcing:Lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for MHE (Forklifts, Reach Trucks, BOPTs, Stackers) and bought-out items (Crates, Totes, Pallets). Total Cost of Ownership (TCO):Execute complex financial modeling to evaluate "Buy vs. Lease" decisions and analyze long-term maintenance costs versus upfront Capex. Vendor Management:Identify and partner with Tier-1 OEMs and reliable distributors. Manage vendor performance through rigorous SLAs and periodic Business Reviews (QBRs). Contract Negotiation:Direct high-value negotiations focusing on unit pricing, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), and throughput guarantees. Stakeholder Collaboration:Partner with Warehouse Operations and Engineering teams to define technical specifications and ensure equipment fits the operational design. Market Intelligence:Stay abreast of commodity price trends (specifically plastics and steel) to optimize the timing of bulk purchases for crates and racking.TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Experience:3-6 years of core procurement experience, preferably in E-commerce, 3PL, or heavy manufacturing. Category Knowledge:In-depth understanding of MHE technical specifications, battery technologies, and plastic injection molding processes. Systems:Proficiency in SAP/Oracle and advanced data visualization tools for spend analysis. Education:MBA in Supply Chain/Operations or a B.Tech/B.E. degree is preferred.
