Our objective is to establish a world-class peptide synthesis and purification facility capable of research-grade and future GMP-ready production.We are hiring a founding technical leader to design, build, and lead this platform from the ground up.Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced peptide manufacturing expert to head our peptide research and API facility in Gurgaon.This is a founding leadership role with full ownership over:Facility design and buildoutEquipment selection and sourcingProcess development (SPPS and scale-up)Analytical and purification systemsQuality systems and documentationRegulatory readiness roadmapTeam hiring and trainingYou will architect and lead the entire peptide manufacturing system.Key ResponsibilitiesFacility & InfrastructureDesign laboratory and cleanroom layout (research and GMP-scalable)Define HVAC, solvent handling, and safety requirementsLead vendor evaluation and capex planningEquipment & Technical SystemsSpecify and procure:Automated peptide synthesizers (SPPS)Preparative and analytical HPLC systemsLC-MSLyophilizersVacuum and solvent recovery systemsOversee installation, validation, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ)Process DevelopmentDevelop and optimize peptide synthesis protocolsImprove coupling efficiency and yieldManage purification and analytical verificationImplement scalable manufacturing workflowsQuality & ComplianceEstablish SOPs and batch documentation systemsBuild QA/QC frameworkPrepare facility for GMP upgrade pathwayEnsure environmental and solvent compliance standardsLeadershipHire and train peptide chemists and analystsBuild a high-performance research and manufacturing teamOwn budget and operational KPIsRequired QualificationsPhD or M.Tech in Organic Chemistry, Peptide Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering10–15+ years experience in peptide synthesis and API manufacturingExtensive hands-on experience with Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS)Deep experience operating automated synthesizersStrong expertise in preparative HPLC and analytical validationPrior experience setting up or scaling peptide manufacturing facilitiesExperience in GMP environments preferredDemonstrated leadership and vendor management experienceIdeal ProfileHas taken peptides from R&D through to commercial productionExperience with GLP-1 analogs or complex therapeutic peptidesFamiliarity with Indian CDSCO and/or international GMP standardsCommercially aware: understands cost-per-gram and scale economicsComfortable building systems from zeroApplicationQualified candidates are invited to share their CV along with a brief note outlining:Peptide facility buildouts you have ledEquipment platforms you have worked withLargest scale you have manufacturedGMP exposure levelConfidential applications welcome.TO:
