Job Summary:TheO&M Process Engineer – DBOwill lead the operations and maintenance input during the bidding and tendering stage ofDesign-Build-Operate (DBO)projects. This includes process design review, lifecycle planning, estimation of O&M costs, BOQ development, and preparation of technical proposals. The role is key to ensuring the long-term viability and competitiveness of bids by aligning operational strategy with design and client requirements.Key Responsibilities: Tendering & Bidding: Analyze tender documents and client specifications related to the O&M phase. Provide O&M strategy and technical write-ups for bids and proposals. Coordinate with design and execution teams to integrate O&M requirements into overall bid strategy. Prepare compliance matrices and identify operational risks in the scope.O&M Estimation & BOQ Preparation: Develop O&M cost estimates including manpower, consumables, spares, utilities, and services. Prepare detailed O&M BOQ based on preliminary design and operating parameters. Estimate lifecycle costs and optimize strategies. Source and validate vendor/subcontractor quotations for O&M packages.Process & Technical Inputs: Evaluate process designs for operability, maintainability, and energy efficiency. Recommend process improvements and technology alternatives to enhance O&M performance. Identify utility requirements, waste generation, and disposal mechanisms for operational planning.Documentation & Proposal Support: Prepare technical documents including O&M methodology, organization structure, maintenance strategy, and lifecycle management plans. Support preparation of presentations and responses to client technical queries. Participate in technical bid evaluations, clarifications, and negotiations.Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams to ensure cohesive bid development. Align O&M strategies with DBO contract requirements and client expectations. Provide inputs for contract and performance guarantee clauses related to O&M.Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Environmental Engineering or relevant discipline. 15–25 years of experience in O&M planning, tendering, and estimation for DBO/PPP/EPC projects. Strong understanding of process operations, maintenance planning, and cost modeling. Experience with infrastructure sectors such aswater/wastewater treatment, power plants, or industrial utilitiesis preferred. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and estimation tools; familiarity with CMMS/ERP systems is a plus. Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, and technical specifications.Key Competencies: Lifecycle thinking and cost-conscious estimation. Understanding of technical-commercial interfaces in bids. Attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Cross-functional collaboration and time management under deadlines.
