Role Overview and Responsibilities: Dhruva Space is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations for aerospace and defense projects. With 8+ years of experience in production management and manufacturing leadership, the ideal candidate will ensure operational excellence, timely delivery, and compliance with AS9100D and other quality standards, while driving process optimization and team performance.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and manage production schedules, resource allocation, and capacity planning to meet project milestones across composite manufacturing, PCB assembly, and harness production. Lead production teams, conduct performance reviews, implement cross-training, and drive employee development programs. Maintain low scrap rates and full compliance with AS9100D, ISO 9001, and ISRO/DRDO standards. Oversee internal QC, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Champion Lean Six Sigma initiatives, implement 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and reduce cycle times. Manage kitting, BOM accuracy, and vendor performance to prevent shortages and mismatches during assembly. Track and report monthly production KPIs (On-Time Delivery, First Pass Yield, scrap rate, downtime) to senior management, along with corrective action plans. Manage production budgets, control direct and indirect costs, and achieve cost-per-unit targets.Candidate Requirements: 8+ years in manufacturing production management, with at least 5 years in aerospace/defense (experience in composites, PCB, harness production preferred). Proven track record of managing 30+ team members and multiple production lines. B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, or Aerospace Engineering. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt preferred). Expertise in AS9100D, ISO 9001 quality systems, and ERP/MRP systems. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, BOM management, kitting, and traceability. Proficiency in MS Office, production planning tools, and KPI dashboards.
