The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems and related software. This position requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.Key Responsibilities: Desktop Support:Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT hardware. Software Installation & Configuration:Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications and other necessary IT tools. System Upgrades & Maintenance:Perform system updates, patches and upgrades to ensure that desktops and laptops are running the latest software and security features. Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including network connectivity, performance and system crashes. End-User Support:Respond to requests for technical assistance via phone, email, or in-person, providing exceptional customer service to all end-users. Asset Management:Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including computers, peripherals, and accessories, and ensure they are properly tracked and managed. Documentation:Maintain detailed logs of all technical issues and resolutions for future reference. Collaboration:Work with the IT team to implement and troubleshoot new software and hardware solutions for the organization.Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a Desktop Engineer (L2) or in a similar IT support role. Strong knowledge of latest Windows operating systems (Windows 10, 11, etc.), software applications, and troubleshooting tools. Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and repair (desktops, laptops, printers, etc.). Experience with remote desktop tools and support systems. Solid understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
