As part of our expansion strategy, we are establishing a new manufacturing facility near Chennai for door closers and locks. Our products comply with European and American standards and cater predominantly to the door and hardware industry. We manufacture products for OEMs based on customer designs and also develop products under our Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) model. Our clientele includes leading national and international brands. Role Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Engineer / Senior Engineer – Electrical Maintenance to manage machine maintenance and support projects within our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in electrical systems, machine erection & commissioning, breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, condition-based maintenance (CBM), and time-based maintenance (TBM). The role requires strong technical knowledge combined with team management and continuous improvement capabilities. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day electrical maintenance of machines Plan and implement Preventive Maintenance (PM) for all equipment Plan and execute Predictive Maintenance activities for critical machines Ensure effective spare parts planning and inventory control Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine uptime Improve MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) Implement Time-Based Maintenance (TBM) and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) Design, modify, and implement PLC logic and HMI programs Handle calibration and reset maintenance activities for CNC machines Plan and execute machine erection, commissioning, and project activities Maintain ISO & TS16949 documentation compliance Implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) practices Lead Kaizen activities and Quality Circle initiatives Oversee maintenance of paint shop equipment Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasonic washing machines Lead and manage maintenance team effectively Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering 3 – 12 years of relevant experience in Electrical Maintenance and Projects within a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics systems Experience in PLC programming and HMI modifications Knowledge of CNC machine calibration Proficiency in MS Office Strong team management and leadership skills Preferred Skills Good communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with focus and precision Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Exposure to structured maintenance systems and documentation practices
