About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactiveSoftware Test Engineerwith 2–4 years of hands-on experience inAPI testing , strong exposure toSQL and Linux , and an interest or working knowledge ofBig Data testing . You will be part of a collaborative QA team working to ensure the high quality and reliability of our applications and services.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and executeAPI test casesusing Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools Performbackend data validationby writing and executing SQL queries Validate data flow and transformations across systems, including backend services Execute test scenarios inLinux/Unix environments , including log verification Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps to understand requirements and deliver test coverage Contribute to test plans, test reports, and defect tracking using tools like JIRA Participate inexploratory, regression, and integration testingcycles [If applicable] Validate Big Data workflows (e.g., Hive, Spark, HDFS) for data consistency and completenessRequired Skills & Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in software QA/testing Strong hands-on experience inREST API testing(Postman, Rest Assured, SOAP UI etc.) Solid working knowledge ofSQL(Joins, aggregation, data validation) Comfortable working inLinux-based environments(shell commands, logs, scripting basics) Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail Understanding of the software development lifecycle (Agile/Scrum)Good to Have Exposure toBig Data testingusing tools like Hive, Hadoop, HDFS, or Spark Exposure to ETL testing Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, etc.) Experience with automation frameworks or scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter)
