Assistant Professor- Strength & Conditioning Department of Sports & Exercise Science Position:Assistant Professor (Full-Time) Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Strength & Conditioning/ M.Sc. in Sports Science with NSCA-CSCS / ASCA / equivalent professional certificationDesirable Qualification: Ph.D. in Sports Science / Strength & Conditioning or related fieldPreferred Skills & Expertise: Expertise in Strength & Conditioning, Resistance Training, and Applied Biomechanics Proficient in performance testing tools (Force Plates, VALD systems, Dynamo, NordBord, HR monitors) Skilled in athletic performance profiling, load monitoring, and injury risk screening Experience in athlete testing, data-driven training prescription, and performance analysis Familiar with OBE framework, experiential learning, and blended teaching approachesKey Roles & Responsibilities: Deliver theory and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes Conduct laboratory and field-based performance assessments and athlete monitoring Supervise student projects related to training prescription, performance analysis, and applied biomechanics, consultancy work. Operate and maintain sports performance equipment (VALD systems, Force Plates, HR monitors) Assist in curriculum development, practical module design, and OBE implementation Support departmental initiatives such as fitness assessments, athlete camps, and outreach programs Participate in FDPs, academic audits, and university-level activities Mentor students in academic progression, research skills, and career pathways Participate in student admissions, counselling sessions, and orientation programs
