Through its initiative “Sterlite Cares” Sterlite is committed to highest standards of governance and responsible environmental practices for sustainable development.The Opportunity:An exceptional career opportunity for innovative, committed, and forward-looking individual to create transformational value in Copper Business.Drive PMB operations with a focus on refining efficiency, recovery optimization, and achieving production targets in line with strategic business plans. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and drive behavior-based safety practices to achieve 100% HSE compliance. Integrate digital automation tools to enhance process visibility, reduce variability, and support data-driven improvements in PMB operations. Lead excellence initiatives through Kaizen, LEAP, and capex projects aimed at reducing costs, improving process stability, and enhancing product quality. Guide employee development through structured training, multiskilling, and engagement programs like V-Connect and TEE to build a resilient workforce. Lead internal and external audits, maintain ISO documentation, and ensure compliance with sustainability and operational standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align PMB strategies with broader organizational goals and customer expectations. Manage P&L, budgeting, and cost optimization for PMB operations across both locations. Drive adoption of advanced refining technologies and automation for operational excellence. Build strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth operations and compliance.The Successful ApplicantBachelor’s degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering with specialization or experience in precious metal recovery and refining. Minimum 10–12 years of experience in PMB or similar operations with a strong focus on safety, digital transformation, and continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to lead capex projects, implement Kaizen strategies, and drive operational excellence through innovation and compliance. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills with a proven ability to manage teams and deliver results under dynamic conditions. Knowledge of HSE standards, ISO compliance, and sustainability practices.
