We're vendor-agnostic, outcome-obsessed, and growing fast across New Zealand, Australia, and Asia. The Role We're looking for a Google Cloud Engineer who lives and breathes AI. This isn't a standard infrastructure role — we need someone who combines deep GCP expertise with a genuine passion for AI/ML, prompt engineering, and solving problems others haven't thought of yet. You'll work across multiple client engagements, designing and building cloud-native AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You'll be hands-on with architecture, implementation, and optimisation — and you'll need to think creatively about how to get the best out of the platform for AI-driven outcomes. What You'll Do Design and implement AI/ML solutions on Google Cloud (Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, Cloud Run, GKE, and beyond) Build and optimise data pipelines, model deployment infrastructure, and AI application backends Apply prompt engineering best practices across LLM-powered solutions Collaborate with solution architects and delivery leads to translate client requirements into scalable cloud architectures Advise clients on GCP best practices for AI workloads — cost, performance, and security Contribute to solution design and technical proposals What You Bring Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP certified preferred) Practical experience with AI/ML tooling — model deployment, orchestration, and integration Solid understanding of prompt engineering, LLM APIs, and GenAI application patterns Excellent problem-solving skills — you think differently and find elegant solutions to complex challenges Strong written and verbal English — you'll be working directly with clients and cross-functional teams Comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment A builder's mindset — you don't just architect, you ship Nice to Have Google Cloud Professional certifications (ML Engineer, Cloud Architect, or Data Engineer) Experience with multi-cloud environments Background in AI consulting or professional services Familiarity with AI governance and responsible AI practices Why Possibl.ai?
