About IIT Bombay: The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, set up in 1958 as the second IIT, is recognised worldwide as a leader in the field of science and engineering education and research. The Institute was granted the status of 'Institution of Eminence' by the Ministry of Education (the then Ministry of Human Resources Development) on July 9, 2018. IITB DRF facilitates Institute’s core mission and engages with our vibrant alumni community, corporations, and foundations with the goal of developing and sustaining long term relationships. These include setting up world class research and academics in emerging areas of science and technology, building world class infrastructure, improving faculty value proposition, strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem, and contributing to the society.IITB DRF assists fundraising endeavors by way of donor solicitations, managing donor programs, maintaining financial accounts and reporting details of all activities implemented with alumni donations.Our Vision: Foster strong relationships with alumni, corporations and philanthropists and seek their participation in IIT Bombay’s pursuit of excellence.Job Purpose: We are looking for enthusiastic and driven interns to assist with ongoing projects and initiatives at IITB DRF. The role will involve hands-on learning, collaboration with faculty and professionals, and exposure to cutting-edge work at the intersection of innovation, entrepreneurship, and development research.1) Website Development Internship:Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites/web pages with clear navigation and user- friendly interfaces Work closely with the IITB-DRF development team to organize and present content effectively Ensure mobile responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and optimal performance of digital platforms. Assist in developing and maintaining web applications using Java and related technologies. Assist with hosting setup, basic SEO implementation, and analytics integration. Maintain and update databases, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability. Coordinate with internal teams to gather technical requirements and implement digital solutions. Document technical processes, workflows, and system updates.Desired Profile: Undergraduate/Graduate students in any discipline. Proficiency in Java, Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Strong design sense and attention to user experience Understanding of UX principles and responsive design. Familiarity with WordPress, React, or similar frameworks is an advantage. Basic knowledge of database management and API integration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.2) Other Internship Opportunities:Key Responsibilities: Assist in supporting ongoing programs, projects, and institutional initiatives. Contribute to content creation for websites, newsletters, reports, and social media platforms. Support execution of digital outreach and communication activities. Help maintain and update databases, trackers, and documentation related to projects and donor engagement. Assist in basic data collection, compilation, and analysis for reporting purposes. Prepare draft notes, briefs, presentations, and communication materials under supervision. Coordinate with internal teams for information gathering and project support. Support organizing events, workshops, meetings, and stakeholder engagements. Document project milestones and contribute to showcasing impact stories. Perform other assigned tasks to support departmental objectives.Desired Profile: Undergraduate or Graduate students from any discipline. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft content, reports, and presentations. Interest in program coordination, institutional development, or donor engagement. Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms. Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and online collaboration tools. Ability to conduct basic research, data compilation, and analysis. Good organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
