This role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies for senior leadership positions, identifying candidates, and building talent pools with high-potential individuals to support Coupang's growth in the e-commerce industry.***This position will begin as a6-month fixed-term contract . There ispotential for extensionand/orconversion to a full-time role , based on individual performance. Thefinal job levelwill be determined during the interview process.Responsibilities: Partner with tech executive recruiters and hiring managersto design and execute innovative sourcing and engagement strategies for identifying future technology executive leaders for Coupang across both theIndia market and global talent pools. Independently source, approach, and engage executive‑level candidates(Director through C‑Suite). Convert prospects into active candidates by effectively pitching Coupang opportunities, presenting targeted roles, and highlighting Coupang’s unique value proposition. Provide tailored candidate guidanceon relocation and expatriate life—including compensation structures, cost of living, tax considerations, net‑to‑gross comparisons, relocation support, global mobility services, and Coupang’s expat community. Conduct thorough candidate assessmentsthrough in‑depth phone screenings, evaluating technical expertise, leadership competencies, problem‑solving ability, and cultural alignment. Deliver detailed candidate summaries with narratives and clear recommendations. Develop strong industry expertiseacross the e‑commerce and broader technology landscape to enhance sourcing effectiveness and leadership evaluation. Lead comprehensive external talent mapping efforts , maintaining a real‑time understanding of the market, executive movements, organizational changes, and industry events to identify emerging leadership prospects. Build and maintain trusted relationshipswith tech executive recruiters and senior business stakeholders to ensure alignment on hiring priorities and talent strategies. Collaborate closely with tech executive recruitersto provide consultative insights, share best practices in executive search, and shape long-term talent pipeline strategies. Manage and track project timelines and milestones , adjusting plans proactively to support on-time and successful project delivery.Qualifications: Minimum 8 years in recruitment or related fields. At least 2 years in executive search within a results-driven environment. Demonstrated success infilling 10+ executive-level (Director and above) technology roles—including Back-end Engineering, Product Management, TPM, AI/ML, Data Science & Analytics, and UX Design —within large-scale tech organizations, eCommerce, retail, internet marketplaces, or other high-growth companies. Strong customer orientation with a focus on understanding and meeting client needs. Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to simplify complex topics and engage executive-level candidates globally. Ability to effectively present Coupang’s value proposition and conduct in-depth candidate assessments.Native-level fluency in English. Highly analytical with proficiency in AI sourcing tools. Skilled in building complex Boolean searches.
