Role and Key Responsibilities experience:- 2–5 years Location:- BangaloreRole Summary The RAMS Engineer is responsible for ensuring that railway gangway systems meet definedR eliability,A vailability,M aintainability, andS afety(RAMS)requirements across the full product life cycle, in compliance with international railway standards and customer specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesReliability & Availability Develop and manageRAMS plansin accordance withEN 50126 / IEC 62278 PerformFMEA / FMECA , reliability block diagrams, and failure rate calculations CalculateMTBF, MTTR, Availability (Ao/Ai) Support design optimization to reduce failure rates Maintainability Define maintenance concepts, intervals, and repair strategies Support spare parts strategy and maintenance manuals Ensure maintainability targets are achieved (accessibility, repair time) Safety ConductHazard Identification (HAZID)and risk analysis MaintainHazard Logthroughout the project Support preparation ofSafety Case / Safety Report Ensure compliance with EN 50126 / EN 50129 safety requirements Qualifications & Skills B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, or Systems Engineering 3–8 years experience in RAMS or system safety (railway preferred) Strong knowledge of railway standards Experience with mechanical railway or Metro systems is a plus Analytical mindset with strong documentation skills Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and engineering terminology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., MS Office,). Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability.Key Competencies Cross-Functional Collaboration / team work Work closely with: Design Engineering Quality & IRIS (ISO/TS 22163) Manufacturing & Service teams Support audits and technical reviews Knowledge of ISO standards for technical documentation. Experience with content management systems and version control tools. Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Ability to create technical illustrations using graphic tools.
