The PHE design Engineer is responsible for designing public health engineering systems (such as water supply, sewage systems, storm water drainage) for commercial, residential, Infra and industrial projects . Responsibilities: Prepare Design Basis Report (DBR) Design and plan water supply systems, sewage systems, Rain water drainage, stormwater management, and waste water management. Prepare design calculations such as water demand, drainage calculations, hydraulic analysis, and layout drawings for water supply, sewage, stormwater drainage, and water and sewage treatment plants. Well-versed in national and local standards for PHE (such as IS, NBC 2016 and other international standards). Design water supply pumps, water storage tanks, and piping systems. Prepare material take-offs and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for procurement and cost estimation. Develop conceptual and detailed designs for PHE systems using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software. Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design issues. Coordinate with the BIM modeller to review and resolve clashes in the model. Responsible for the complete design cycle — from preparation of the Design Basis Report , layouts, calculations to obtaining design approvals from the client. Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD and Revit is an added advantage.
