Job Title: Assistant Manager – Human Resources (Statutory and Compliance) Department:Human Resources Location:South Region Reporting To:Regional HR Lead / HR ManagerRole Overview We are looking for a highly driven and hands-on HR professional to supportstore-level HR operations across the South region . The role will act as afield HR Business Partner , ensuring smooth workforce management, statutory compliance, payroll accuracy, and strong employee engagement across stores and operational sites. The role requires extensive interaction with frontline teams and business stakeholders to ensure manpower availability, workforce productivity, and employee retention. Mandatory Requirement:Candidate must have prior experience working in theQSR (Quick Service Restaurant) industry .Key Responsibilities Store Manpower Planning & Hiring Drive store-wise manpower planning in alignment with business expansion and operational requirements. Work closely with Operations and Regional HR teams to ensure adequate staffing across all stores and sites. Manage high-volume frontline hiring including crew members, store associates, and shift-based employees. Execute cost-effective sourcing strategies through referrals, NGO partnerships, walk-ins, job fairs, and local hiring drives. Monitor hiring TAT and maintain manpower availability to avoid store-level operational disruptions. Store HR Operations & Payroll Management Ensure timely and accurate payroll inputs including attendance, shift rosters, overtime, incentives, leave data, and reimbursements. Track attendance and workforce productivity across stores and highlight discrepancies. Maintain HR MIS related to store manpower, payroll inputs, and workforce analytics. Coordinate with payroll and finance teams to resolve store-level payroll queries and discrepancies. Statutory & Labour Compliance Ensure adherence to all labour laws, statutory compliances, and regulatory requirements across assigned stores and sites. Conduct periodic compliance audits across stores including registers, documentation, and contractor compliance. Support internal and external compliance audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations. Educate store managers and employees on statutory guidelines and policy adherence. Employee Engagement & Store Culture Drive employee engagement initiatives at stores and operational sites to improve morale and productivity. Conduct regular store visits and connect with employees to understand workplace challenges and improve employee experience. Support onboarding and induction programs for new joiners at store level. Ensure strong alignment with organizational culture and brand values among frontline employees. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling Act as the first point of contact for store employees regarding HR policies, concerns, and workplace issues. Address employee grievances, disciplinary cases, and conflict resolution in coordination with business stakeholders. Ensure adherence to HR policies, workplace conduct, and employee well-being practices. Attrition Control & Performance Support Monitor store-wise attrition trends and provide actionable insights to improve retention. Implement retention initiatives and workforce stability programs. Support store managers in performance monitoring and improvement plans for frontline employees. Exit Management Manage exit processes including documentation, clearance, exit interviews, and final settlements. Analyze exit feedback and identify trends impacting workforce stability. Eligibility & Requirements Proven experience as a Field HR / Store HR / HR Business Partner in frontline workforce environments. Mandatory experience in QSR industry. Strong experience in high-volume frontline / blue-collar hiring. Hands-on experience in store HR operations, attendance tracking, and payroll inputs. Good understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance related to retail or QSR workforce. Willingness to travel frequently across stores and operational sites. Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Energetic, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
