Job Title: Procurement Manager Company:Sobha Constructions LLC Job Location:Dubai Department:ProcurementJob Summary The Procurement Manager will lead and manage the procurement function for construction projects, ensuring cost-effective purchasing of materials, subcontract packages, and services while maintaining quality, compliance, and timely delivery. The role requires strong expertise in construction procurement, supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing within the UAE market. Key Responsibilities 1. Procurement Strategy & Planning Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and company objectives. Prepare procurement schedules in coordination with project teams. Identify long-lead items and ensure early procurement planning. Contribute to budget planning and cost control initiatives. 2. Vendor & Supplier Management Identify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors. Maintain and update approved vendor lists. Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable terms. Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations. 3. Tendering & Negotiation Float RFQs/RFPs and manage the complete tendering process. Conduct techno-commercial evaluations. Lead price negotiations and finalize terms and conditions. Prepare comparative statements and procurement recommendations. 4. Contract Management Draft, review, and administer purchase orders and subcontracts. Ensure contractual compliance with project specifications and company standards. Coordinate with legal and commercial teams on contract matters. 5. Cost Optimization & Value Engineering Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Support value engineering initiatives. Monitor market trends, material price fluctuations, and supply risks. 6. Coordination & Compliance Work closely with project managers, planning, engineering, and finance teams. Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE regulations. Support internal and external audits related to procurement activities. 7. Risk Management Identify procurement risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays. Monitor supply chain disruptions and proactively manage issues. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. 10–15 years of procurement experience in the construction industry. Minimum 5 years in a managerial role within a reputable construction company in the UAE. Strong knowledge of local suppliers, subcontractors, and UAE construction market. Experience handling high-value procurement packages for large-scale projects. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred) and MS Office. Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
