The person in this role will lead the finance and accounting department, overseeing the preparation of MIS / financial statements, budgeting, and financial reporting to guide strategic decision-making. Responsibilities include managing the company's financial health, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and analyzing financial data to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive the financial strategy of the organization is also a key part of this role.Qualifications Strong expertise in preparing and analyzing MIS / Financial Statements and Financial Reporting Proficiency in Finance, including planning, forecasting, and financial decision-making Excellent Analytical Skills to interpret financial data and support strategic initiatives Proven experience in Budgeting and financial performance tracking Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and mentor teams Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; a professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or CFA is preferred Advanced proficiency in financial tools, systems, and software Experience in D2C business operations and understanding of e-commerce finance is highly desirable Build reports for investor, lead diligence processes, and manage investor relationships Experience in equity and debt fund raising will be added advantageIdeal Candidate Profile - Hands-on exposure working in start-up or with a Venture Capital or an Investment Bank - Overall experience of 2 - 6 years working with start-up or a VC Fund - Experience in early-stage / high-growth environments preferred - First-principles thinker with the ability to build and lead from scratch - Strong analytical, modelling, and stakeholder management skills
