As we scale, procurement discipline, cost optimisation, and supply chain control are critical to protecting margins and ensuring consistent product quality. We are seeking a Head of Procurement to lead and institutionalise purchasing strategy across the organisation.Role Overview The Head of Procurement will be responsible for building and leading a structured, cost-efficient, and quality-focused procurement function across all raw materials, packaging materials, and operational supplies. This is a business-critical leadership role directly impacting profitability, working capital, and supply continuity.Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement Leadership Develop and implement a company-wide procurement strategy aligned with growth plans Build structured vendor evaluation and performance systems Establish long-term supplier partnerships Drive cost optimisation initiatives without compromising quality Commodity and Cost Management Monitor commodity markets including dry fruits, oil, sugar, pulses, dairy, and packaging Develop forward-buying and rate-contract strategies where applicable Analyse consumption trends and cost patterns Identify and implement margin improvement opportunities Multi-Outlet Procurement Governance Centralise procurement discipline across 25 outlets Eliminate unauthorised or decentralised purchasing Standardise approved vendor lists and rate agreements Implement structured purchase approval workflows ERP and Data-Driven Control Ensure procurement processes are fully ERP-driven Monitor purchase order compliance, GRN accuracy, and reconciliation Align procurement planning with sales forecasts and production schedules Develop procurement dashboards for management visibility Inventory and Working Capital Management Improve inventory turnover ratios Reduce overstocking and dead stock Optimise reorder levels and buffer stock policies Strengthen working capital efficiency Team Leadership Lead and mentor the procurement team Establish SOP-driven procurement processes Drive accountability, reporting, and structured reviews Required Experience 10–18 years of procurement experience in food manufacturing, sweets, namkeen, FMCG, or multi-unit F&B Proven experience managing large-scale raw material procurement Strong negotiation track record with measurable cost savings Experience in ERP-based procurement systems (GoFrugal preferred) Strong understanding of inventory control and working capital management Key Competencies Strategic negotiation and vendor management Strong commercial and financial awareness Commodity market understanding Data-driven decision-making Structured and process-oriented mindset Ability to work closely with promoter leadership Key Performance Indicators Reduction in overall raw material cost percentage Improvement in gross margin Inventory turnover improvement Reduction in stock-outs Vendor performance metrics ERP procurement compliance rate
