Job Title

To lead and manage all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire (MEPF) detail design activities for hospital projects, ensuring engineering excellence, functional compliance, safety, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and seamless coordination with Architecture, Structure, Interiors, and Medical Equipment teams. The role demands strong value engineering and client-side design leadership. Roles & Responsibilities - Lead complete MEPF Detail Design for large, multi‑specialty hospital projects. - Review HVAC, Electrical, Public Health Engineering, Fire Protection, MGPS, BMS/IBMS designs. - Ensure engineering compliance with healthcare standards, NBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, and local codes. - Perform Value Engineering to optimize cost, energy efficiency, and lifecycle performance. - Coordinate interdisciplinary design meetings with Architecture, Structure, Interiors & Equipment teams. - Conduct technical reviews, design audits, and sign‑off on all MEPF deliverables. - Validate heat load calculations, electrical load estimations, water demand, and fire hydraulic calculations. - Ensure Revit/BIM coordination and clash resolution across all building systems. - Provide engineering inputs during concept, schematic, and detail design stages. - Support tender documentation, technical specifications, BOQs, and vendor evaluations. - Guide on‑site teams during execution, shop drawing review, and installation queries. Special Skills - Expertise in HVAC, Electrical, PHE, Fire Protection, MGPS & BMS for hospitals. - Strong energy modelling and value engineering capabilities. - Excellent Revit/BIM understanding; ability to review coordinated models. - Strong analytical, technical review, and engineering problem-solving skills. - Effective communication and multidisciplinary coordination leadership. Essential Experience - More than 15 years in MEPF engineering and hospital project design. - Experience in 500+ bed hospital projects preferred. - Demonstrated success in client-side design management roles. - Strong understanding of hospital engineering workflows and critical services redundancy planning. KRAs - Delivery of complete, accurate, and coordinated MEPF Detail Design packages. - Demonstrated value engineering savings without compromising safety or performance. - Zero major clashes or design gaps in coordinated BIM models. - On‑time delivery of all engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
