Brief Job Description:Will be responsible for all Electrical Maintenance & Projects activities and the job responsibilities will entail the following:Current maintenance practices are focused on break-down maintenance, incumbent will be required to completely overhaul the present practices with implementation of modern maintenance practices.Will be responsible for all maintenance and projects (M&P) activities of electrical department including instrumentation and automation.Will be required to set up an independent Electrical (M&P) department to introduce required manpower.Currently the company has a 7.5 MVA/33 KV Sub-Station and to support the expansion plans, company needs to set up a new 132 KV Sub-Station of 15-20 MVA capacity. As such, the incumbent must be familiar with setting up and management of 132 KV Sub-Station.Will be also responsible for electrical and instrumentation management of the complete plant, should be able to guide the team for migration to the predictive maintenance practises incorporating modern auto-sensing devices and gadgets.Should be familiar with TQM and will be responsible for energy conservation measures, energy audit etc.Should demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to attract, develop, and retain high-performing team members.Must consistently prioritize workplace safety and implement robust systems and processes to ensure a safe working environment at all times.Reporting Structure:Will report to : ED/COO - MDReportees : 3 – 4 direct reportees.Desired Attributes:Preferred age group : 45 to 55 yearsQualifications : Graduate Engineer– Electrical with minimum 20+ years of experience out of which at least 5 years should be as Head – Electrical Maintenance & Project. The incumbent should be from the Steel plant background.Experience : At least 20 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles from steel plant, foundries and engineering industry preferably from system driven promoter managed companies.Key skills : Deft negotiation skills and cost consciousness, Contract management.
