For more information visit.Job Title:E2E QA Engineer – Telecom (RAN & OSS) Location:Bangalore Experience:8–12 Years Job Type:Full-Time Industry:Telecommunications / Wireless / Networking Function: Quality Assurance / System TestingJob Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced End-to-End (E2E) QA Engineer with 8–12 years of experience in the Telecommunications domain, with deep hands-on expertise in RAN (4G/5G) and OSS (Operations Support Systems). The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating the full workflow of telecom solutions from access network through OSS systems, ensuring seamless integration, functional reliability, and performance across all network layers and interfaces.Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and execute End-to-End test scenarios across RAN, Core, Transport, and OSS domains. • Conduct functional, regression, interoperability, and integration testing of multi vendor network components. • Validate OSS functionalities like fault management, performance monitoring, alarm correlation, and KPI reporting. • Test northbound/southbound interfaces between EMS, NMS, OSS, and RAN elements using SNMP, NetConf, REST, SOAP, and FTP protocols. • Execute call flows, mobility scenarios, handovers, and service provisioning workflows. • Perform log and trace analysis using tools like Wireshark, QXDM, NetAct etc. • Good to have knowledge in drive test tools such as TEMS, NEMO, or similar drive test software and equipment. • Automate E2E testing workflows using Python, Robot Framework, or other test automation tools. • Work closely with cross-functional teams including system architects, QA, and operations teams to ensure system-wide quality. • Own and manage defect lifecycle and risk-based testing approaches for complex telecom environments. • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and actively contribute to program planning, estimations, and retrospectives.Required Skills & Experience: • 8–12 years of Telecom QA experience with strong exposure to E2E testing, particularly in RAN and OSS domains. • Solid understanding of E2E network architecture including RAN, Core, OSS and Transport. • Hands-on experience with telecom protocols: S1, X2, GTP, SCTP, SNMP, NetConf, REST APIs. • In-depth experience with OSS platforms for KPI monitoring, fault and alarm management, service activation, and provisioning. • Experience testing and validating network management systems (EMS/NMS) and integrations with OSS. • Automation experience using Python, Robot Framework, or similar scripting tools. • Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, QXDM, U2020, NetAct, JIRA, HP ALM. • Experience with CI/CD environments: Jenkins, Git, Docker (optional but preferred). • Strong debugging and analytical skills across distributed telecom environments.Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working on 5G, vRAN, O-RAN environments. • Hands-on with Cloud-native and containerized network functions. • Exposure to Service Assurance, Closed-loop Automation, or AI/ML-based OSS platforms is a plus.Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.RAKUTEN SHUGI PRINCIPLES: Our worldwide practices describe specific behaviours that make Rakuten unique and united across the world.
