Strong academic and research credentials preferred.Roles & Responsibilities These roles are ideal for professionals with a strong academic foundation, a proven track record in research, significant exposure to consultancy projects, and hands-on experience in securing and managing funded research projects from agencies like SERB, DST, AICTE, MoEF&CC, Industry, or International bodies.The selected candidates will contribute to teaching excellence, drive cutting-edge research, foster industry-academia collaboration through consultancy, and lead initiatives that enhance the department's reputation in sustainable infrastructure, smart cities, resilient structures, environmental engineering, and emerging technologies in civil engineering.Design and update course curricula to align with NBA/NAAC accreditation standards, NEP 2020, and industry requirements.Research and Scholarly Activities: - Conduct high-impact research in emerging areas of Civil Engineering and publish regularly in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals (minimum 2-3 papers per year for Associate Professor; 4+ for Professor). - Present research at national and international conferences and file patents where applicable. - Build and lead research groups or centers of excellence within the department.Consultancy and Industry Collaboration: - Undertake paid consultancy projects for government departments (PWD, NHAI, BBMP, etc.), construction firms, infrastructure developers, and private industries. - Provide expert services in structural audits, geotechnical investigations, environmental impact assessments, project management, and sustainable design. - Collaborate with industry partners for technology transfer, joint R&D, and MoUs.Funded Projects and Resource Mobilization: - Identify funding opportunities and successfully secure sponsored research grants (as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator). - Manage project budgets, timelines, deliverables, and reporting to funding agencies.Mentoring, Administration, and Service: - Mentor junior faculty, research scholars, and students in research and career development. - Participate actively in departmental committees, accreditation processes (NBA/NAAC), academic audits, and college-level governance. - Organize FDPs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and industry visits. - Contribute to student placements, internships, and alumni engagementCompensation: Salary as per AICTE Pay Scales / higher scales can be considered for the right candidate
