Position:Senior IT Controls & Audit Support Specialist Location:Abu Dhabi, UAE Experience:12-18 yearsRole Overview We are seeking an experiencedSenior Digital & IT Controls and Audit Support Specialistto develop, enhance, and oversee IT and digital controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and governance framework.Key Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and govern theIT/digital controls framework , aligning with best practices(COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL)andUAE regulations(NESA, ADHICS, UAE Data Protection Law). Draft, review, and update controls tosupport risk management, cybersecurity, and audit goals Collaborate withcybersecurity, risk, compliance, and IT teamsfor comprehensive control coverage. Leadannual IT/digital controls assessmentsand coordinateinternal/external audits (preparation, execution, liaison, findings response, remediation tracking, and follow-ups) . Act asprimary point of contact for regulatory/compliance audits,monitor compliance, identify gaps, and recommend remediation. Maintaincentralized governance controls repositorywith versioning, access controls, audit trails, and up-to-date documentation lifecycle. Design and deliverannual awareness/training programs and workshopsto promote risk-aware culture across IT, security, and business teams. Partner with senior stakeholdersto align controls with business/regulatory changes, provide strategic recommendations for enhancements, automation, and efficiency, track/report performance metrics and improvement insights to leadership.Qualifications 10+ years of experiencein IT controls, audit, supports compliance, or digital governance within large enterprises. Strong expertise inIT control frameworkssuch asCOBIT, ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL, SOX , andUAE regulatory standards (e.g., NESA, ADHICS, UAE Data Protection Law). Hands-on experience in designing, assessing, and optimizing IT and digital controls. Proven experience inaudit coordination , including working withinternal and external auditors. Experience managing IT governance and compliance documentation, including control registers and audit repositories. Strong ability toengage with senior stakeholders and influence control strategies .Skills and Attributes Experience in Oil & Gasorother regulated industriesis preferred. Familiarity with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) platforms and IT compliance tools. Strong data analysis and reporting skills, particularly in audit tracking and compliance monitoring.
