Role Overview:The Executive-Student Life will be responsible for conceptualizing, executing, and evaluating a wide range of programs and activities that enhance student life at GITAM Hyderabad. The role requires building a strong student community by driving engagement across day scholars and resident students, supporting the effective functioning of student clubs, coordinating events, and enabling the delivery of credit-based co-curricular courses. Given the residential nature of the role, the Executive is also expected to curate special evening and late-night engagement programs tailored for men’s and women’s residences, ensuring holistic growth, wellness, and community belonging among students.Key Responsibilities:Student Engagement & Community Building Develop and implement a structured student engagement strategy for both day scholars and resident students. Initiate activities fostering inclusivity, leadership, creativity, wellness, and cultural exchange. Curate special late evening/weekend engagement activities for residents (e.g., open mics, sports leagues, wellness circles, cultural fests, and skill-based workshops). Act as a first point of contact for students in residence for engagement-related matters.Clubs & Societies Support student-led clubs, societies, and special interest groups with guidance, resources, and event approvals. Streamline processes for the formation, recognition, and monitoring of clubs. Ensure inclusivity, gender balance, and interdisciplinary participation in club activities.Events & Activations Assist DoSL in planning and executing campus-wide events, festivals, and special activations. Coordinate logistics, vendor management, student volunteers, and publicity for events. Collaborate with academic and administrative units for smooth execution of credit and non-credit events.Credit Courses & Skill Development Support in curating and delivering DoSL credit courses aligned with life skills, leadership, wellness, and co-curricular learning. Engage industry experts, faculty, and practitioners to co-deliver courses and workshops. Monitor student participation and feedback to improve program quality.Residence Engagement Create structured activity calendars for men’s and women’s residences. Address the unique needs of residential students (wellness, recreation, social belonging). Facilitate residence-based competitions, peer mentorship programs, and community service initiatives. Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate records of student participation, club activities, and event impact. Provide periodic reports and insights to DoSL In-Charge for evaluation and planning.Education and Experience: Graduation is a must. Post-Graduation qualification is preferable. 1-8 years of relevant work experience in student affairs.
