Through educational and outreach programs, Navars inspires a love for astronomy and science among learners of all ages.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Hyderabad for an Astronomy Educator. The role involves creating and conducting engaging astronomy education sessions for students and audiences of various age groups. The educator will develop lesson plans, facilitate classroom and hands-on activities, manage astronomy labs, and operate portable planetariums at different schools. Additionally, the individual will work with the Navars team to develop and improve educational content, promote outreach programs, and inspire curiosity about astronomy in young minds.Qualifications Strong skills in Lesson Planning and Teaching for delivering effective and engaging astronomy education to various age groups Experience in Education and Training to support teaching methodologies and curriculum development Excellent Communication skills to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner Enthusiasm for astronomy and a passion for science education Prior experience working with children and young students is a plus Ability to operate and maintain scientific educational equipment such as telescopes and planetariums Undergraduate degree in Education, Astronomy, Science Communication, or other relevant fields is preferred but not mandatory
