Business Unit: Metrology India – Portable Division Location: Gujarat, AhmedabadRole Overview The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales of Portable Coordinate Measuring Machines (PCMM) and related solutions across the Gujarat region. The role involves managing direct customer engagements as well as channel partner–led sales, with a strong focus on revenue growth, customer acquisition, and long-term relationship building.Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Drive direct sales of PCMM machines and portable metrology solutions in the assigned Gujarat territory. Manage and grow business through authorized channel partners, ensuring alignment with regional sales objectives. Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across automotive, aerospace, heavy engineering, manufacturing, and industrial segments. Achieve assigned order booking, revenue, and collection targets. Customer Engagement Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with customers. Understand customer measurement challenges and propose appropriate Hexagon solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, decision-makers, and influencers. Support customers through the entire sales cycle—from lead generation to order closure. Channel Partner Management Enable channel partners through product training, joint customer visits, and deal support. Track partner pipeline, ensure opportunity hygiene, and drive conversions. Ensure adherence to Hexagon’s pricing, discounting, and compliance guidelines. Coordination & Internal Collaboration Work closely with Application Engineers, Service, Product, and Operations teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction. Support pre-sales activities such as proof of concepts (POCs), trials, and technical evaluations. Maintain accurate and timely updates in CRM systems. Market Intelligence Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market developments in the region. Provide regular feedback to management on market opportunities and challenges.Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field. 4–7 years of experience in industrial capital equipment sales, preferably in metrology, machine tools, automation, or measurement solutions. Prior exposure to portable metrology / PCMM / CMM / laser trackers is highly preferred. Experience working with channel partners is a strong advantage.Skills & Competencies Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate technology into business value. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working independently in the field. Willingness to travel extensively within Gujarat & West region as per business needs
