As we expand our Indian operations, we are building a strong local team that mirrors the professionalism and care of our UK counterparts.About the RoleWe are hiring Accounts Trainees – UK Accounting to join our Chennai office on a fixed-term contract of 18–24 months. This role is suited to graduates or early-career professionals seeking hands-on exposure to UK accounting and bookkeeping.You will work closely with experienced UK accountants and receive structured, on-the-job training on UK accounting practices, tools, and workflows.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with day-to-day bookkeeping for UK clients Support bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Maintain accurate accounting records under supervision Assist with basic journal entries and monthly reporting Work on cloud accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks Follow UK accounting standards and internal processes Coordinate with internal teams and UK counterparts Maintain organised digital recordsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field Basic understanding of accounting principles Good written and spoken English Willingness to work from office and learn UK accounting practices CA Inter / ACCA / CPA (pursuing or planned) is an advantage Prior internship or trainee experience is helpful but not mandatoryPost–Programme ProgressionSubject to performance, business requirements, and role availability, trainees completing the programme may be considered for:Extension of the fixed-term contract (up to 24 months) Confirmation into a permanent role within Growth Accountants India Progression to Assistant Accountant / Junior Accountant – UK Accounting Increased responsibility, including independent handling of UK client workWhat We OfferDirect exposure to UK accounting work from a UK practice Structured training and continuous learning Hands-on experience with UK clients and cloud accounting tools Supportive and professional team environment Competitive trainee-level compensationThink you're the right fit?
