This role ensures that client needs are met with the highest quality standards by overseeing all aspects of the testing process, including the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts. The incumbent coordinates end-to-end testing, drives continuous improvement, and ensures testing processes comply with organizational and regulatory requirements. The role works closely with project managers, developers, quality engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology solutions. Details on your work arrangement (including on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities): Testing Expertise: Lead investigation and translation of business and technical requirements into comprehensive test cases Design, manage, and execute end-to-end testing activities for various projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards Develop and maintain detailed test plans, schedules, and resource allocations Develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases and test suites using automation tools Track, report, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle, ensuring prompt resolution Prepare and present regular status reports, test metrics, and risk assessments to project leadership Ensure all testing activities comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirementsAutomation Expertise: Design and implement automation strategies, tools, and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness Integrate automated testing scripts and strategies with DevOps toolsLeadership Skills: Coach and mentor testing team members in business domain, functional testing, automation, and non-functional testing Ensure compliance with CIBC’s test methodologies and industry best practices Proactively identify potential issues throughout all test phases and suggest improvements Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologiesProject Coordination: Coordinate internal and external testing teams to ensure timely completion of test phases Identify and communicate obstacles or risks that may impact project timelines or success Maintain open communication with stakeholders and escalate issues when necessary Ensure test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to project goals and budgetExperience:5+ years of experience Who You Are (skills/qualifications): Must Have Skills: Proven 5+ years of experience in Test Coordination and Automation roles, Database testing primarily Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Strong understanding of Testing Life Cycle, SDLC, and Defect Management processes for application testing and support Hand-on experience on preparing test plans and test strategies Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Tosca DI, Selenium, Robot Framework, ParaSoft SOAtest, Postman, Rest Assured, Cucumber, Unix) Preferred experience with Python, Java, and SQL databases Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, OpenText AQM, Confluence) Good working knowledge of QE processes and standards Ability to build and maintain automated testing scripts and integrate with DevOps tools Working knowledge of cloud/Azure environment (e.g. Databricks) Strong working experience on RDBMS (STM, ETL) Support multiple projects within cross-functional teams and end to end testing (program projects) Strong investigative and analytical skills for solving complex problems Excellent organizational and time management skills Effective communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences Strong leadership, coaching, and mentorship abilities Collaborative approach, building trusted relationships with stakeholders Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and industry developmentsWhat CIBC India Offers: At CIBC India, your goals are a priority.
