Senior Oracle Database Automation Engineer Work Mode:Multi-Cloud / Platform Engineering Experience:6+ Years Environment:AWS | Azure | GCPRole Overview We are looking for aSenior Oracle Database Automation Engineerto design and build scalable automation for Oracle database provisioning, backup, recovery, and high-availability across multi-cloud environments. This role blendsdeep Oracle DBA expertisewithsoftware engineering and automation , supporting a modern DBaaS platform operating at scale.Key Responsibilities Design and implement automation forOracle database provisioning, cloning, backup, recovery, and lifecycle management Develop and maintainOracle automation pluginsusingPython, Bash, and Jinja2 AutomateRMAN backup/restore , DBCA operations, Data Guard configuration, and DBA workflows Build and enhance automation forOracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB)lifecycle operations Implement and troubleshootOracle RAC, Data Guard, and HA/DR architectures Optimize RMAN strategies includingincremental, snapshot-based backups, and PITR Integrate Oracle automation withorchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Argo Workflows) Diagnose and resolveperformance, memory (SGA/PGA/HugePages), and storage issues ImplementSSL/TLS, Oracle Wallet, TDE, and network encryption Writeunit and integration testsfor automation scripts Createtechnical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides Stay current with Oracle releases, patches, and best practicesRequired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience 6+ yearsof hands-on experience as anOracle DBAin production environments Strong expertise inOracle 12c, 19c, and 21c Deep knowledge ofRMAN backup & recovery , duplication, and PITR Strong experience withOracle Data Guard (physical/logical), switchover & failover Hands-on experience withOracle RAC Proficiency inPython and Bash scripting StrongLinux/Unixadministration skills (RHEL, OEL, Ubuntu) Experience withOracle networking(Listener, TNS, TCPS/SSL) Knowledge ofOracle TDE, Wallets, and encryption Experience with at least one cloud platform ( AWS, Azure, or GCP ) Strong troubleshooting skills forORA errors, performance, and storage issues Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications Experience withOracle on Cloud(AWS RDS, Azure Database, OCI) Exposure toDocker and Kubernetes Experience withTerraform, Ansible, or IaC tools Familiarity withCI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Oracle certifications ( OCP / OCM ) are a plus Exposure toOracle Exadata or Exadata Cloud ServiceWhat You’ll Work On RMAN-basedbackup & restore automation Oracledatabase cloning and refresh workflows PDB lifecycle automation(create, clone, refresh, drop) Data GuardHA/DR automation Database provisioning templates and parameterization Performance tuning and troubleshooting utilities Integration withcloud storage(S3, Azure Blob, GCS)Why Join Us Work on acutting-edge DBaaS platformmanaging Oracle databases at scale CombineDBA expertise with software engineering and automation High-energy, collaborative environment focused on innovation Strong opportunities forcareer growth and ownership Flexible, inclusive culture whereyour ideas directly shape the product
