Job Title: Role: Global SME – CV Joint Design (Halfshafts) Location: Nexteer Technical Center, Bengaluru (India)Role Nexteer Automotive is seeking to engage aSenior Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Constant Velocity Joint (CVJ) designto support and strengthen ourcore driveline design capabilityfor passenger car halfshafts.This opportunity is ideal forhighly experienced professionals (including retired / superannuated experts)who are interested in contributing deep technical expertise throughmentoring, guidance, and hands‑on technical support .Primary Responsibilities End‑to‑end CVJ design & development experience ( requirements → concept → validation → SOP ) Strong fundamentals in CV joint types (e.g.OBJ & IBJ ) durability, materials, lubrication/tribology, and manufacturability Experience in design standards, design reviews, and technical problem‑solving in production programs.Role scope Mentor and guide driveline engineers to build lasting CVJ design competency Support development of design methods, guidelines, and best practices Provide hands‑on technical reviews and support for program executionBackground Experience Required: Experience in global driveline organizations At least 3 – 5 CV joint product releases Technical understanding of vehicle driveline systems.Engagement model Flexible engagement : part‑time / contract / advisory Global candidatesare also encouraged to apply; hybrid/remote options may be considered based on the engagement needs
