Job Description – Business Analyst (BA) Position : Business Analyst (BA) Experience : 4–6 Years Location: KolkataDomain Requirement: Minimum 2 years of experience in E-commerce Retail & Supply ChainJob Summary: We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong experience in E-commerce Retail and Supply Chain systems. The candidate will work closely with business users, product managers, and technical teams to support system configurations, analyze issues, and drive feature enhancements.Key Responsibilities: ● Understand end-to-end business processes related to E-commerce, Order Management, Inventory, and Supply Chain. ● Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD) for new feature development or enhancement requests. ● Discuss and review BRDs with Product Managers and align on scope, impact, and priority. ● Support UAT activities, validate business scenarios, and ensure smooth rollout of features. ● Have a strong understanding of system features, configurations, and functional workflows. ● Perform first-level analysis for any system or process-related issues raised by users. ● Identify the root cause of issues and prepare detailed RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and share with relevant stakeholders. ● Support enabling and disabling of system features through configuration based on business requirements. ● Coordinate with technical and support teams for issue resolution and configuration changes. ● Ensure proper documentation of processes, configurations, and changes. Operations-Focused Responsibilities ● Work closely with operations, supply chain, and warehouse teams to understand day-to-day operational challenges. ● Support smooth execution of order processing, inventory management, fulfillment, and return operations. ● Act as a bridge between business operations and technical teams to ensure system behavior aligns with operational needs. ● Analyze operational issues (order delays, inventory mismatches, process gaps) and provide first-level functional solutions. ● Support configuration changes required for operational scenarios such as new warehouse onboarding, process changes, or business rule updates. ● Assist operations teams during peak events (sales, launches) to ensure system stability and process continuity. ● Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process flows for operational teams. ● Support UAT and production rollouts from an operations readiness perspective.Required Skills & Qualifications: ● 4–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst. ● At least 2 years of experience in the E-commerce Retail & Supply Chain domain. ● Good understanding of OMS, WMS, Inventory, and Order Fulfillment processes. ● Good documentation skills including BRD preparation. ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ● Experience in system configuration and feature management. ● Ability to perform RCA and explain issues clearly to technical and business teams. ● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
