This role is focused on API automation, microservices, and backend testing.We are seeking aSenior SDET with 9+ years of experience , strong expertise inJava-based API automation ,API development fundamentals , and hands-on testing ofmicroservices in retail banking environments . Experience inTest ManagementandTest Strategywill be considered a strong advantage.What You’ll Do Design, develop, and maintainAPI and microservices automation frameworksusing Java. TestJava-based APIs , microservices, core banking services, payment flows, and backend systems. Validate end‑to‑end service interactions, system integrations, and customer journeys. Integrate automation suites intoCI/CD pipelines(Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Leadroot cause analysis (RCA) , participate in defect triage, and enhance overall quality governance. Collaborate with backend, payments, cloud, and product teams to ensure high‑quality releases. Contribute to and reviewTest Strategy, Test Planning, and Test Managementactivities.Must‑Have Skills 9+ yearsof SDET / QA Automation experience. Strong programming skills inJava(mandatory). Hands-on experience withAPI automationusing: REST Assured Postman/Newman Karate (optional but preferred) Experience intesting Java-based APIs and microservices . Strong understanding of: Service contracts Mocking/stubbing JSON/XML validation API schema validation Integration testing patterns Solid exposure toRetail Bankingprocesses: accounts, cards, payments, onboarding, transactions. CI/CD experience withJenkins , Git, Maven/Gradle. Strong experience with Linux, log analysis, and debugging backend flows. Knowledge ofAPI development fundamentals(endpoints, status codes, payload structures, auth).Good to Have Experience contributing toTest Strategy , planning, reporting, andTest Management . Familiarity with banking regulatory flows & compliance-driven testing. Basic understanding ofDocker/Kubernetesand cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). BDD frameworks (Cucumber), reporting tools (Allure, Extent). Experience withperformance testing(JMeter / k6).
