About Position:We are hiring for Network QA engineer, will lead functional and system testing for carrier-grade networking products and platforms. The role spans L2/L3 protocol validation, MPLS & Traffic Engineering scenarios, NMS functional testing, and SDN controller feature validation—ensuring stable, standards-compliant releases at scale.Role: Network QA Location: All Persistent Location Experience: 5+ years Job Type: Full Time EmploymentWhat You'll Do:Design, execute, and maintain functional test plans, test cases, and regression suites for L2/L3 protocols and MPLS features. Validate Traffic Engineering scenarios (e.g., RSVP-TE/segment routing use-cases, path constraints, protection/restoration). Perform NMS/EMS functional testing (fault, performance, configuration, inventory) and validate northbound/southbound integrations (e.g., SNMP/NETCONF/REST). Validate SDN Controller workflows: topology discovery, intent/policy, service provisioning, path computation, and rollback behavior. Build and execute test topologies (multi-vendor if applicable) using routers/switches/virtual network elements; generate and analyze traffic. Log defects with clear repro steps, traces, and packet captures; drive issue isolation and verification of fixes. Create test reports, coverage metrics, and sign-off criteria; contribute to release readiness decisions. Automate repetitive scenarios where feasible (Python + tools/APIs of NMS/SDN/traffic generators). Collaborate with development, architecture, and product teams to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.Expertise You'll Bring:Strong hands-on experience in functional testing of networking products, with a focus on L2/L3 protocol validation including VLAN, STP, ARP, OSPF, BGP, and routing behaviors. Solid knowledge of MPLS technologies such as LDP, RSVP‑TE, L2/L3 VPNs, label operations, and protection mechanisms. Experience in testing Traffic Engineering scenarios including path computation, constraints, reroute, protection, and failure handling. Practical exposure to NMS/EMS platforms, including fault, configuration, performance, and topology validation. Understanding of SDN controller testing—device onboarding, topology sync, intent workflow, service provisioning, and REST/NetConf/GNMI interactions. Proficiency with packet-level debugging using tools like Wireshark/tcpdump and analyzing PCAP traces. Experience using traffic generators (Ixia/Spirent/TRex) for performance and feature validation. Ability to design robust test plans, test cases, and regression suites, covering positive, negative, and boundary scenarios. Familiarity with automation basics using Python/API testing (optional but preferred). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and defect-triaging skills with clear documentation and reproducible findings. Effective collaboration and communication skills to work closely with development, QA, and product teams.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards Annual health check-ups Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parentsValues-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment:Persistent is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
