The role involves implementing security policies, procedures, and systems to protect physical and intellectual assets and prevent losses across the campus.Key Responsibilities 1. Command & Control of Security Operations Overall in-charge of security operations during the assigned shift Manage guards, supervisors, CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and patrol teams Ensure optimum deployment of security manpower across locations Regulate security operations from the Security Operations Centre 2. Incident & Emergency Management Act as first responder for incidents such as thefts, fire alarms, medical emergencies, intrusions, or suspicious activities Take immediate corrective actions and escalate appropriately Coordinate firefighting, evacuation, and crowd control with Facilities, EHS, Admin, HR, and fire teams Investigate incidents and liaise with police authorities when required 3. Access Control & Perimeter Security Control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and materials Manage gates, visitor management systems, vendor and material movement, parking, and traffic Maintain discipline and a strong security interface across the premises 4. CCTV, Surveillance & Security Technology Live monitoring of CCTV and surveillance systems Preserve recordings and maintain evidence during incident. Ensure maintenance and upgradation of security equipment Apply security automation and audit knowledge to identify risks 5. SOPs, Compliance & Risk Management Ensure adherence to all security SOPs and policies Enforce fire safety rules, ID badge protocols, parking norms, and statutory requirements Assist in risk assessments and implementation of mitigation measures Identify security gaps and drive improvements 6. Reporting, Documentation & Shift Handover Maintain daily shift logs, incident reports, patrol records, and attendance Document incidents accurately with supporting evidence Ensure smooth and structured shift handovers 7. People Management & Training Lead and manage large security teams (50–200+ personnel) Ensure training, readiness, and discipline of security staff Deploy the right personnel at the right locations for optimal coverage 8. Intelligence, Vigilance & External Liaison Develop intelligence and vigilance mechanisms Maintain liaison with government, police, and intelligence agencies Support investigations and vigilance activities 9. Administrative & Other Responsibilities Handle administrative activities related to security operations Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Work in shifts and take on additional responsibilities as assignedCritical Skills & CompetenciesGraduate with 5–7 years of experience in corporate or industrial security Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent incident handling and emergency response capability Knowledge of CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and security automation Strong communication, reporting, and documentation skills Awareness of statutory regulations, audits, and investigations Ability to work in high-pressure and night-shift environments Strong collaboration skills across functions and levels
