Environment & Sustainability – Lead – Treatment Plants (STP, ETP, ZLD)JOB DESCRIPTION:Purpose: To develop, implement and maintain environmentally responsible business practices. To lead the Implementation of Corporate Environment & Sustainability Protocols across the organization. To ensure strict adherence to environmental standards and nurture a ubiquitous culture of sustainability. To ensure the seamless integration of sustainable practices into the organizational framework. To conceptualize, plan, co-ordinate, develop and deploy Environmental Best Practices across the organization.Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will demonstrate skills and competencies to work and deliver as a Process Expert with Deep Domain Knowledge in areas of Wastewater TreatmentDrive the implementation of Net Zero Water, Water Neutrality, Water Conservation and Water Efficiency initiatives at site. Prior Experience of atleast 5 years in designing, handling, operating, maintaining and managing operations with the following technologies : UASB, MBR, DM (EDI Technology), and MVRE based ZLD systems. Extensive experience in HRSCC, UF and RO based effluent treatment plants with closed loop recycling. Experience in anodizing wastewater treatment and heavy metal removal is desirable. Experience in designing and managing operations of large ETP’s and DM Plants of atleast 5MLD capacity. Handled shift operations and ensured 24 X 7 safe and legally compliant operations for atleast 5 years as per State Pollution Control Board Norms. Design, Operate and Maintain Water and Wastewater systems based on the concept of 4R. Evaluate and monitor performance of Zero Liquid Discharge Systems. Derive, set, monitor, analyse and evolve processes and systems for effective operations and act as a Subject Matter Expert in ensuring safe, reliable and compliant operations of all Wastewater Treatment Plants. Prepare and evaluate Water, Wastewater, Flow/TDS Balance for all sites and report deviations from set internal standards and targets on daily basis. To set daily operational parameters (stricter than PCB norms) for treatment plants such as STP/ETP/ZLD and ensure adherence to the set internal parameters. Develop benchmarks, continually strive to set sustainability targets aimed at operational excellence and sustainability. Implement Best Practices in Wastewater treatment, Recycle and Reuse. Ensure state of the art management systems and practices are implemented and sustained at all times. To closely co-ordinate with Facilities and Projects team and ensure seamless co-ordination in maintenance (predictive, preventive and breakdown). Ensure all time availability of all pollution control treatment plants and ensure operational efficacy in treatment. Proactively identify and predict operational and maintenance issues in advance and develop preventive action plans to ensure 100% operational availability of all treatment systems. Prepare daily reports and ensure all gap areas are closed within stipulated time frames. Prepare shift roster and ensure safety and sustainability adherence by all STP/ETP/ZLD operators at all times. Drive the concept of circular economy within Tata Electronics, with emphasis on Water and Waste; This will entail developing common framework, metrics, and guidance around water and Waste stewardship. Identify and promote avenues for rainwater collection and utilization. Implement a systematic approach to identify, control, and reduce wastewater produced through operations. Conduct routine monitoring of overall water performance, including water intake and performance of wastewater treatment systems. To plan and develop Waste Segregation Policy and ensure deployment at manufacturing sites (company level). Implement a systematic approach to identify, manage, reduce, responsibly control disposal, and minimize waste to landfills from operations. To develop and implement Hazardous and Other Waste Management Policies and Procedures and ensure implementation at siteManagement Systems: To ensure systems, Procedures and documentation at site with a specified focus on Risk Based Thinking. To conduct internal & cross factory audits. To ensure co-ordination with Third Party and internal teams in planning, organizing, execution and successful completion of Certification and Surveillance audits To ensure closure of all findings and Horizontal Deployment. To ensure Continual Improvement through Environment Management Programmes. Develop and execute plans for management system implementation at Supplier sites Corporate Sustainability (GHG, Water, Waste Reporting): Ensure that targets set by individual stakeholders are in alignment with the Net Zero targets of the organization. Identify, compile, monitor, review, implement and ensure effectiveness of decarbonization measures taken in the organization. Monitor and report GHG, Water, Waste Management and other sustainability related data to all relevant stakeholders. Regularly quantify, set targets, monitor progress, and drive initiatives to reduce consumption of energy, fossil fuel, Water, Waste, Hazardous Substances, and natural resources through conservation, re-use, recycling, substitution, or other measures.Essential Attributes: A strong team player with a sense of unified commitment, shared responsibility and trust in the team.
