The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of motor assembly processes, stator winding, rotor assembly, controller integration, and end-of-line testing specific to EV applications. The role involves managing shop floor production, ensuring process optimization, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement in EV motor manufacturing.Key Responsibilities: Oversee complete BLDC motor production lifecycle, including stator, rotor, shaft assembly, and final motor assembly Supervise stator winding processes (manual/automatic winding machines) and insulation processes Monitor magnet insertion, rotor balancing, and precision assembly Ensure proper controller integration and Hall sensor alignment Conduct and supervise motor testing No-load & load testing Back EMF testing Torque & efficiency testing Insulation resistance & high-voltage testing Troubleshoot production and performance issues in motors Ensure compliance with EV performance standards and quality benchmarks Implement lean manufacturing practices to improve productivity and reduce rejection rates Maintain production documentation, SOPs, and process sheets Coordinate with R&D and Quality teams for design improvements and failure analysis Ensure adherence to safety standards and manufacturing protocolsTechnical Skills Required: Strong understanding of BLDC motor working principles Knowledge of motor components: stator core, copper winding, permanent magnets, rotor, shaft, bearings Experience in EV hub motors or mid-drive motors Familiarity with motor testing equipment and performance analysis Understanding of motor controllers, FOC principles Knowledge of GD&T and basic mechanical tolerances Exposure to quality tools: Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA Understanding of ISO / automotive quality standardsEducational Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Production EngineeringPreferred Candidate Profile: Experience in EV manufacturing setup Strong shop floor leadership capability Problem-solving mindset with technical depth Ability to handle production teams and achieve daily output targets
