This is 24x7 shift pattern job, within the Network Operations Centre. Managing the RF Access & Wi-Fi Network and using Network Management Systems and Operational Support Systems, the Shift Engineer will ensure that all Faults, Planned Work and Activation requests are carried out to comply with Service Level Agreements, and that all processes and procedures are being correctly followed.Key Responsibilities : Act as the first-level escalation point for RF network issues and ensure timely fault resolution. Proactively monitor and manage network services from the Network Operations Center (NOC) to ensure service availability and performance. Coordinate with Field Engineers to assign, track, and close both network and customer-related faults. Liaise with internal and external Network Operation Centers to escalate issues as required and ensure adherence to defined SLAs. Monitor and maintain key performance metrics such as MTTR, response time, RFO, and service reporting in line with customer KPIs. Follow established NSO procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent service quality and operational compliance. Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on RF nodes including eNB, gNB, SMC, and Wi-Fi Access Points. Support planned maintenance activities and provide field support to minimize downtime and ensure rapid fault resolution.Qualification & Experience Required: BE/Btech with 5 to 8 years of experience.Skills Required : Strong knowledge ofIP networking and routing protocolsincluding ISIS, BGP, MPLS backbone, VLANs, L2/L3 VPN, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, NAT, SSH, and CLI-based configurations. Sound understanding ofLTE & 5G network architecture , including nodes such as eNodeB, gNodeB, MME, AMF, SMF, UPF, PCRF, and key LTE interfaces (S1, X2, S5/S8, S11, Gx, etc.), along with uplink/downlink channels and call flows. Hands-on experience inRF and RAN troubleshooting , including Samsung eNodeB/gNB integration, alarm handling, hardware installation (UAMA, L9CA, RRH), and planned outage management. Experience working withRAN EMS platforms (e.g., LSM-R)including database creation and operational management. Practical exposure toWi-Fi/WLAN technologies (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) , Access Points, WLC, Wi-Fi call flows, and multivendor environments (Cisco, Ruckus, Airtight, Samsung), including EMS tools such as Cisco PI and Ruckus SCG. Hands-on configuration and operational experience withCisco (ASR 920) and Juniper (ACX2200) routers ; relevant certifications such asCCNA, JNCA, or equivalent telecom certificationswill be an added advantage.
